The manga world has seen its fair share of heartbreak over the years, but few deaths have hit harder than that of Berserk author and illustrator Kentaro Miura. His passing in 2021 marked the end of an era for the dark fantasy genre, and over five years later, longtime fans of his work are still mourning his loss. Thankfully, after years of waiting, it seems as though there’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel for fans of Miura and his work on Berserk.

Kentaro Miura’s friend and successor, Koji Mori, has continued his late friend’s work on Berserk alongside Studio Gaga over the past half-decade, and now, he’s returning with a brand-new chapter after nearly a year-long hiatus. The path ahead remains uncertain for Guts and his crew, but if Berserk‘s latest showing is any indication, then the face of seinen manga is finally ready to leave its mark on the genre once again.

Berserk Chapter 384 dropped on June 12, 2026, adding a new chapter to the story of Guts for the first time since the release of Chapter 383 back in September 2025. The chapter was released in Young Animal magazine, officially ending one of the longest pauses in the post-Miura era and marking the beginning of a rare three-chapter run for the ill-fated dark fantasy series.

Berserk Chapter 385 was released on June 26, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, it will be followed by Chapter 386 on July 10, giving readers three new installments in less than a month. For a series that has moved at an irregular pace since Miura’s death, this string of releases is a promising sign for fans of The Black Swordsman.

There is no telling how long the Berserk manga will continue to run, or how frequently new chapters will be released after Mori and Studio Gaga’s current three-issue run. However, the release of Chapter 384 and Chapter 385 is a major moment for the series and its readers. After months of silence, Guts is on the move again.

Hopefully, Berserk Chapter 386 not only releases as expected but also inches Guts ever closer toward his goal of defeating Griffith and the God Hand. After all, Kentaro Miura’s iconic manga deserves a conclusive ending, if for no other reason than to pay respect to one of the most influential fantasy stories of the modern era.
