After nearly a year of waiting, Demon Slayer has finally revealed its streaming plans for the franchise’s record-breaking 2025 hit, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle.
Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps’ final attempt to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji made anime history by shattering box office records around the globe, and now it’s set to hit Crunchyroll’s streaming library.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle to Hit Crunchyroll on July 28
At the 2026 Anime Expo, Crunchyroll and Aniplex formally announced Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle‘s streaming release date: July 28, 2026.
By the time the film hits Crunchyroll, over one year will have passed since Infinity Castle initially hit theaters, so it’s safe to say that fans are more than ready to watch Tanjiro and his allies take on Muzan’s demon army from home. After earning over $1 billion at the international box office, the film remains the gold standard for mainstream anime hits, and its addition to the Crunchyroll library should be a major win for the streaming platform.
In addition to Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle‘s addition to the Crunchyroll library, the film is also expected to be available through digital home release options around the same window.
Infinity Castle was directed by Haruo Sotozaki at ufotable, with Akira Matsushima serving as chief animation director and character designer. Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina returned from the Demon Slayer anime series to handle the music.
The movie follows the Demon Slayer Corps after they are pulled into the Infinity Castle, Muzan Kibutsuji’s ever-shifting demon stronghold, and follows several major confrontations, including battles involving Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Shinobu Kocho, Giyu Tomioka, and Akaza.
After years of buildup, the film finally brought Demon Slayer into its endgame, and its home release should only make the franchise’s next theatrical installment feel even bigger. Now, the wait for Demon Slayer‘s next film, Infinity Castle Part 2, begins.
While the second installment of the Infinity Castle trilogy has yet to announce a formal release date, it’s expected to arrive sometime in 2027, giving fans plenty of time to brush up on recent events by the time the franchise hits theaters again. Until then, Crunchyroll’s streaming release gives Demon Slayer fans the perfect opportunity to catch up on the franchise before the trilogy continues.
All four seasons of Demon Slayer and its previous film, Mugen Train, are available to stream on Crunchyroll.
