According to numerous official sources, the Witch Hat Atelier anime has been greenlit for Season 2, opening the door for even more Coco and Qifrey-focused adventures. The fantasy anime genre is in better hands than ever, and Witch Hat Atelier‘s renewal is the latest sign that the medium’s recent fantasy boom is not slowing down anytime soon.
Witch Hat Atelier Is Set to Return With Season 2
Per Witch Hat Atelier‘s official social media accounts, Witch Hat Atelier Season 2 is already in production. While BUG FILMS and the Witch Hat Atelier production committee have yet to announce a release date for the show’s sophomore effort, they did release a gorgeous visual — illustrated by the Witch Hat Atelier manga author, Kamome Shirahama — featuring the series’ main cast in celebration of the news.
Additionally, Crunchyroll has announced that it will be home to Witch Hat Atelier‘s second season. The streaming giant was also home to the show’s first season, making Witch Hat Atelier one of Crunchyroll’s flagship titles heading into the second half of 2026.
The first season gave viewers a strong introduction to Witch Hat Atelier‘s setting, but Season 2 should delve even deeper into the darker forces surrounding Coco’s journey. The Brimmed Caps were a major part of the story by the end of Season 1, so the upcoming season has a clear narrative thrust as Coco and her friends continue learning more about magic.
The sky is the limit for Witch Hat Atelier, which has followed in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End‘s footsteps en route to becoming the darling fantasy series of the year.
